The five usual suspects

Why the total didn't move
Sometimes a code ‘applies’ but the price looks unchanged. Usually that means it only discounts eligible items — and everything in your bag was excluded, most often because it was on sale. Swap in a full-price item, or read the card's conditions to see exactly what the code covers before assuming it's broken.
A 60-second fix routine
When a code fails, don't start over from scratch — run this quick pass. Re-copy the code directly from the card. Confirm your bag is over the minimum and made of full-price items. Check whether the offer is app-only or category-locked, and switch surfaces if so. Glance at the last-verified time to rule out expiry. Four of those five checks take seconds, and together they clear the vast majority of failures.
